Who would have thought these (ages ago)?
- Merrill Lynch would ever agree to sell itself last sunday to Bank of America for roughly US$ 50 billion to avert a deepening financial crisis; and
- Lehman Brothers filed for bankruptcy protection and hurtled toward liquidation after failing to find a buyer.
Big surprises,
But that’s it,
Nothing is so certain,
Except for taxes, death & changes,
Rise & fall
10 years or so
of relationships dissolved
Pickin’ up the pieces

Time and again, I’d always say,
Life is beautiful no matter what,
Life is about taking chances,
(Almost) nothing is certain,
But one thing is for sure
Happily ever afters (will) do exist.

I gotta admit, I prefer to play safe most of the time, especially in financial situations. I’d rather not gamble.

I play safe most of the time, but I do have the tendency to take risks and gamble. Let’s say 15% of me is willing to take risks in financial decisions. Hmm…I’d still have to see if my my “ever after” will happen =).

Like almost everyone here, most of the time, I prefer to play it safe when it comes to finances, especially if I do not have that much to gamble with 🙂
On the rare occasion that I do decide to take the risk, I’m only comfortable waging a portion, as opposed to the whole thing.

Well me, just like Jeanny, i am the risk taker, that’s the reason why most of the materials we have in the business is still with us, and investing on something worth taking risk is really challenging.
We still have the business, and we are still doing great with it. Of course, when there are some things you stumble upon that does not need for you to think twice, stop.
We all make our choices, right?

I take risk if the odds favors me. But I don’t go all the way. For example, a bank offered to invest any money you put in, in return for a certain interest higher than the usual savings or TD percentage. The good thing is CB insures the whole capital which is better than PDIC’s 250T per account. Will you take it? I did.

i’m a contrarian! and yes, a big risk-taker! my favorite philosophy teacher has this to say about life, “walang katiyakan kung walang pagtataya. at walang pagtataya kung maninigurado ka.” i chewed on that for ten years before realizing what it meant. 🙂
