I am probably one of those who was too late to appreciate seeing the face of Ed Sheeran. While his voice and singing style had marked on me the very first time I heard some of his songs over the radio, it was a different story when I first saw a music video of him. I told myself, “ugh, he’s ugly, he should have been part of the hobbit movie”. Hep! Do not kill me, please. I have poor eyesight.
Then, I watched him perform in Dubai last March. And I am taking back what I said. He is actually cute, rather, he is capable of transforming into a super pretty man when he performs. Continue reading

Just like a true Eraserheads fanatic, I came earlier than the early birds (hahaha) to get one of the hailed spots in Eraserheads concert in Dubai Media City Ampitheatre.
Thanks to the organizers of Du World Music Fest for lining up Eraserheads this year with Guns n Roses, Andrea Bocelli and other great artists.
After the long chase, i.e. after missing their reunion concerts in the Philippines being miles away, I finally met them by the front row. I finally
shouted told Ely “I love yahhhhh, Ely” hahahaha, as he approached my spot as he sang “Pare Ko”.
Just when I thought they would kick off with “Alapaap”, they did “Walang Nagbago”. I knew it hit most of the audience infinitely especially with the lyrics “At ngayong may edad ka na at lunod sa problema nangangarap na ibalik ang kahapon na di mo malaman…..”

It has been over two months yet when I sorted the photos it felt like it was just yesterday of that mid of the three-day exhilarating after-race (F1) concerts last year. Sorting the photos reminded me of the ever delighted crowd, the new acquaintances I gained over twitter and other means through those queries directed to me asking how to get up-close to the stage, how to possibly get VIP passes out of my same kind of luck in the past (*facepalm* heeheee), me advising people as if I am a serial concert goer, and other random thoughts. Hahaha. Well, with no shame I admit that I am one of those who did the marathon for the after-race concerts for the past two years of Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
