Gateway by Gu Dexin. This is where all the bananas went. Banana art at its best. The visitors may pick the bananas, eat them and throw the skin to the urns (marble style). This is a modern interpretation of stages of life. Imagine the adulthood of a banana in its full glory until it gets rotten.
I was indeed a happy monkey! All the unconsumed bananas were donated to the Emirates Park Zoo after the exhibit. Continue reading

Since our tummies were well-fed during the holidays, the next best thing to do post-new year’s eve is to satisfy our mental (and artistic, yeah!) craving. Persistent on burning the calories from the sumptuous sticky rice and other happy food, we did an enjoyable walk to the museum yesterday. We seized the opportunity to visit the “Seeing through light” exhibit in Manarat Al Saadiyat which aims to showcase the selections from the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi collection. Continue reading
