(Yoda! Until now I still do ‘Yoda-speak’. I should mention that there are rare instances when Perdita (one of our cats) gets a little resemblance with him when she is asleep.)
It is the last day of my birth month and there is no better way to conclude it but with a cheerful post — a toy museum experience.
We visited the toy museum in Penang (Malaysia) which showcases the toys collected by the owner in the last 30 years. He started collecting toys when he was 19. Its current location at 650 square meters is home to numerous toys which are planned to be relocated in a bigger location. The ‘creatures’ inside are grouped into chambers, i.e. horror, monsters, fantasy, comic book heroes, celebrities, cartoons and more.
(The young Anakin Skywalker)
My most favorite is the Star Wars collection. I spent the highest amount of time in this section for photo-taking, appreciation and all that gushes. I should say that it did not help that I had fellow Star Wars fanatics-competitors in taking photos. But in a way that added to the appreciation, the moment of waiting and chasing.
The life size robots. This reminded me of the R2-D2 keychain I received from 2010 bloggers’ exchange gift.
Another much-appreciated pieces are the wizards. It made me giddy to see the younger Harry, Hermione and Ron. As we are vacationing soon in the Philippines, I wish we can take one those flights to Singapore for the Harry Potter Exhibition which runs until end of September 2012.
More entertaining pieces:
I like Beatles! I cannot wait to find time to write about the Sir Paul McCartney’s concert experience.
Have you seen the latest installment of Spiderman?
Do you remember Boo from Monster, Inc.? One of the scenes (and facts) that really marked on me was when they were discouraged to name the kid because it follows that we tend to form an attachment the moment we name someone or stuff (e.g. gadgets, vehicles, etc.).
This has been spotted in the ‘Hall of Beauties’. I liked that there is a cat on the mirror.
This one is for my most favorite cousin. She likes Sailor Moon until now.
From the ‘Hall of Celebrities’.
Who would have thought that ogres can be too cute?
I have seen all the Child’s Play/Chuckie’s series aka Charles Lee Ray before he turned into a doll. He is popularly known as ‘Chaka doll’ (chaka means ugly) in the Philippines.

Haha, yeah it’s funny but true. At one point we thought that we should have named her Yoda. π

now, im feeling the guilt of not bringing gabby yet to toy museum here.
been here about 2 years ago and i enjoyed it too.
however i wish the museum could have been more spacious.

Maybe it’s better to bring Gabby to the toy museum after its relocation so that it’ll be more spacious. No idea though of the exact date of transfer.
I liked the Egyptian themed toilets (tandas). I even took a photo of the door. But would you believe later on I realized that it was a little creepy? Heehee.
