(Imagine Santa Claus waving the flag of the UAE and Philippines.)
I would be flying to Manila in few days and I am glad that I still had a chance to drop by in paskuhan/Christmas bazaar in Philippine Embassy (Abu Dhabi Office). The participating booths include offers and services from real estate companies, professional organizations-Abu Dhabi chapter, those offering livelihood awareness, a shoe company, Filipino restaurants, and more. The atmosphere is very festive with those banderitas and Christmas lanterns. Some of the amusing finds:
The above Christmas decor was neatly stuffed with bottles. I also liked the shells and photos combo from Pangasinense group and Organisasyon ng Pilipinong Mang Aawit sa Abu Dhabi (OPMAD).
The bazaar will run from 11th to 17th of December. Don’t forget to visit my friends’-colleagues’ booth (#2). You can get the best siomai, siopao, and squidballs in Abu Dhabi only from them!

Wow, and to think Dubai does not celebrate Christmas, but the Pinoys only.

I always look forward to seeing “parols” whenever I’m in the Philippine consulate in NYC. Helps make me feel closer to a Pinoy Christmas.
Inggit ako sa iyo dahil uuwi ka. Have fun!
