The shiny and uniquely shaped building there is the main office of the leading real estate developer in Abu Dhabi. I wonder if they just wanted to be very different from the rest or it has something to do with the symbolism that the shape is representing. Although it has a lot of meanings, I opt to associate the spiral shape with continuity.

Marhaba! That's "hello" in Arabic. I am an expatriate based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE). I started writing about my adventures and misadventures few months before arriving here at winter of 2008. I have 2 cats and a dog who live harmoniously together. it looks like the building is going to roll on its own anytime soon. i wonder if it was hard to do the design and might be even tougher to build it.

now that is a very unusual building. it never ceases to amaze me how architects and engineers could build those visually stunning and unique structures..
