No Reservations Philippines episode has been aired already. It is heartwarming to see Anthony Bourdain appreciating taho, sisig, palabok, San Miguel beer, lechon cebu (he says it’s the best pig ever! this is number 1 in his hierarchy of pork), visiting Claude Tayag and one of my favorite food bloggers, Market Manila, having Ivan Man Dy toured him and a lot more. Oh, I am so bookmarking this! Thanks, I’ve always wanted to watch Anthony Bourdain travel the Philippines. Will have a watch when I get home and maybe send it to the in-laws who will be visiting the Philippines for the first time this autumn π

I love this show, esp that episode where he went to the near Arctic and sampled the delicacy of the Innuits – raw seal. The best part was when he ate the seal’s eyes – raw !! yikes π¦

No matter where I am, Filipino cooking is still the BEST. I love sisig and lechon too. It’s good to see it here because I missed this when it was showing.

I hope that you will feature this in your TV show again and write good things about your experience. I am deeply grateful to you and the producers that made this happen. We are proud race even thou we have many more things to learn from other countries. How we can make our leaders learn to love more our beloved country and countrymen. I hope that someday the corruptions will past and we learn how to take care of the bussiness running the country to make it progressive like the rest of the world. We might be a small country when you see it in the world map but I know we are one of those who keep the world running thru the services of my countrymen who works in all parts of the world. Wow!!! I loved this video collections featuring some of our filipino dishes. My favorite really of all is SISIG everywhere, as for the lechon, I only like to eat the skin. Nakakatuwa that someone like Bourdain appreciates and loved our food. Nakakalungkot nga lang na mas kilala ng foreigners ang chinese food. I would like to thank a friend for sharing this link to me.

i was thrown off by the guide’s comment that the philippine cuisine is still evolving after 500 years. this is very misleading and a grave error. what had happened to our datus and rajahs. how do they eat? how do they prepae their food?
