I’m writing this post while waiting for my dentist. I’m sort of sleepy. Well, consistently sleep-deprived for a week now… but I’m enormously happy. Especially since I got home, it’s like I (and the people around me) am savoring every second. It’s been more than 48 hours since I hit the airport. But it looks like I’ve been in, out, and going around for almost a month already. I stayed in Laguna the whole Tuesday and reasonably did catch up with family and relatives. Gawd, there’s no place like home.
Yesterday, I’ve been up since 3am and been on the road an hour later off to Manila and Makati. It was literally whirlwind. No photos and much details for now (I will make separate posts about my side trip in Hong Kong and Macau, in next year probably. For now, I’m enjoying anything and everything about the Philippines). Some of the random recent occurrences in my life:
(a) I planned to have tuyo, sinangag and itlog as my first breakfast while at home. But the street taho vendor passed by early in the morning and indulged in it instead.
(b) After my Grand National Museum Tour yesterday with my friend, we both realized we missed the area much. So we walked up through the crowded Manila City Hall till we reached the nearest mall near there. I was craving for Jollibee, but it was so jampacked at 2pm. We had kare-kare and bicol express in Max’s instead. Yum!
(c) I had few minutes meet-ups with friends (former officemates) to initially drop by my pasalubongs for them. I’m so surprised they have prepared gifts for me. So thoughtful.
(d) Those few minutes meet-ups (as in super bilis lang) included seeing two friends, who are both known to one of my blogger pals (one is a common friend, the other one is her sister). We discovered only recently that it’s indeed a small world for this blogger pal and I. I also handed a pasalubong for her through her pretty (just like her!) sister. Oh well, thanks for the gift also. (I’ll make a separate post about this.)
(e) Before meeting up with my super closest friends in my previous office, I met up with another blogger who’s office is nearby. Yes, we had photos together. My partial anonymity is seemingly fading now. It’s really wonderful how blogging connects people. I’m so pleased to meet her. Thanks for the goodies, they are all so Pinoy nibbles!
(f) At night – over midnight, my closest friends (those in letter E) had dinner and videoke somewhere in Jupiter area. It was also like a reunion because there are two of us based abroad who are both home for the holidays coincidentally. It was FUN. I super missed them. Ang saya. 🙂
(g) Kwentuhan and pigging out to the max.
Definitely, there would be more.
Happy weekend, everyone.
